On our way to a successful life.
Bad times don’t last, neither do good times if you don’t look after yourself.
We were dealt some bad cards, the luck ran out.
The diagnosis, fear strikes for the first time.
The signs of stress. if only I had recognised them.
If only I had looked after my health better.
Bowel cancer had reared its ugly head.
Then a heart attack just to complicate issues.
Who cares, these things happen?
When you’re ill it can be isolating and lonely.
Now I had to take it easy.
I had to change my eating habits.
And now I had to make things happen again.
We put laughter back into our lives.
Now we can be happy families again, this time with experience.

One of the most interesting things that happened when I had the bowel cancer. Out of the blue come a stream of friends and acquaintances, mistakenly we thought they had all come to see me. No. They had all come to find out what the symptoms were. Had they been to their doctors, No. They hadn’t had time.
Men have always been reluctant to visit doctors until there is a ‘real’ problem. Unfortunately, that can be too late. So, stop messing about and visit your doctor, not a mate who you think can substitute for a doctor.
